
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provide daily basic care for patients in providing both physical and emotional support for patients in the Long-term care setting. CNAs must be able to provide personal assistance to individuals who are unable to care for themselves and help regain and maintain daily functions. To be certified as a nursing assistant, the student must successfully complete the New Jersey curriculum for Nurse Aide in Long Term Care Facilities Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP). The Certified Nurse Aide course is comprised of 90 hours: 50 instructional (classroom) hours and 40 clinical laboratory hours.
